Sprayers for liquid additives in animal feed
Enzymes and vitamins are the most expensive ingredient in the mix and are added in the smallest quantities, so the question is how to distribute them evenly across a whole tonne of product.
Conventional systems spray under pressure through narrow nozzles, hence the blockages and the need for dilution; the Kahl ROTOSPRAY works differently. A rotary nozzle breaks the liquid up mechanically, without pressure and without narrow openings.
The liquid is applied undiluted, at atmospheric pressure, so there is no loss of active substance, no residue in the system and no spoilage.
The unit is installed after the impeller scale and the surge bin, and the liquid flow is matched automatically to the flow of solids, without manual adjustment.
A distribution cone spreads the product so that it is sprayed from all sides, not only across the surface of the layer, which is decisive with expensive additives.
It applies enzymes, above all phytase, then vitamins, flavours, vegetable oils, organic acids, disinfectants and dust binders, onto mash products, grits, crumbled pellets and expanded and extruded products.
It is used in animal feed lines and in pet food and fish feed production, as a rule after cooling as the last step before packing, and also in the chemical industry for applying liquid additives to powdered and granulated products.
